Coastside Carousel is a show devoted to spotlighting the groups and artists that make up our local musical entertainment community.

To live music is to have been born into listening to it. It's not a love you try out, put it aside and come back to it later...no,your heart and mind and ears and sight get immersed to the point you don't hold sway over it - it holds you. It cradles you!

Mum gave me the proverbial classical 'forever' practicing piano lessons, my first guitar, took me to symphony concerts, played piano for my tenor Dad (his bent being Caruso and Lanza). Along with my sister becoming an accomplished pianist, music was a household necessity - like coffee to some, a good quaffing wine to others - food for my well being. And, always a "go-to" in good times when my heart soared, in tough times it was a salving salve!

Presenting the listener a choice of good music, be it catchy, cheerful tunes or works of art on varietal instruments is my weekly raison d'etre on Coastside Carousel - on air and our website. A joy to produce and a genuine pleasure to feel I am presenting talents of known artists, along with introducing you to "newbie hopefuls" on their chosen musical path. I love what I do here, and when you love something, you get better and better at it - and that's my goal!
